Paradigm Co (PAR:ASX) has been one of our top performing stocks which we’ve been closely following since we started Youth Investment Group. We first noticed Paradigm bouncing around $1.85 and saw it’s potential. Since then, PAR has risen over 120% to $3.95 at close on Friday afternoon. PAR typically tends to bounce around during the week, allowing for some nice opportunities to enter at a good price. Assuming PAR breaks $4 next week, a nice entry price might be between $3.35-3.55 if it does drop again. It is unlikely, however an entry price below $3.35 would be ideal as the markets react to Price Sensitive Announcements (PSE)-learn more on the specific dates here. However, we recommend you conduct your own research on entry prices.
Current HOLD status?
With a strong market performance to cap off the week, PAR may be slightly overpriced. If you are currently holding PAR and are looking for a long term return – holding may be the smarter option*. However, Paradigm will likely open at a loss as investors sell off profits at such a high price allowing for a nice opportunity to enter. It would be worthwhile watching PAR closely Monday and Tuesday as it’s price is set to normalise.
Getting in Early
From our first article at $1.90, we have well over doubled our money with PAR’s tremendous growth. Repurchases in between $2.00-$3.00 were a very smart move as the stock soared through to sit at $3.65 by Jan 2020. Many investors I have spoken to personally not only bought before $2.50 but also bought more shares inbetween market corrections. However, if you didn’t get in early it doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t capitalise on Paradigm. A good entry price under $3.50 would be very ideal for an investor trying to break into the market with less chance of a capital loss however conducting your own research is vital.
